The Minister of Youth and Sports in Egypt witnesses the signing of a cooperation protocol between the ministry and the Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, witnessed today the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the ministry and the Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development. This comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to support young people and enhance their capacities in various fields, particularly entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and economic empowerment, in alignment with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the UfM Youth Strategy 2030.

The protocol was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sports by Major General Ihab Bashir, Permanent Undersecretary, and on behalf of the Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development by Mr. Abdelhalim Mohamed Abdelhalim , the Executive Director. In the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the team of the Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development.

The protocol aims to strengthen the partnership between both parties in the field of youth empowerment by implementing joint programs and initiatives that contribute to developing their skills, supporting entrepreneurs, and hosting international youth delegations in ministry-affiliated facilities. Additionally, it seeks to provide opportunities for cultural exchange and prepare young people for the labor market through training programs focused on digital skills and entrepreneurship.

In his speech during the signing ceremony, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, emphasized that this partnership aligns with the ministry’s strategy to strengthen the role of young people in sustainable development and equip them with modern tools. He highlighted the importance of promoting a culture of innovation and technology, supporting small and micro enterprises, and connecting young people with funding sources and grants to enhance their competitive capabilities.

For his part, Mr. Youssef Aroog, the Elected Co-President of the Board of Trustees of the Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development, expressed his delight at the signing of this protocol. He affirmed that the foundation will continue working on implementing innovative projects that support young people, strengthen their presence on regional and international platforms, and provide them with the necessary opportunities for success and development.
