Ms. Yasmeen Aladdin, the Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development, together with Ms.Marta Malinoska, a specialist of the Women’s Studies Centre – Poland, are heading to the United Nations headquarters in New York to participate in the 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW 68) for the year 2024, from March 11 to March 22, 2024.

The conference will be attended by representatives from member states, United Nations entities, alongside some non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations accredited by the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) from around the world to participate in this high-level event.
The conference will discuss the necessity of accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls, by strengthening institutions to explore funding avenues and addressing poverty with a gender equality perspective.

تتوجه الدكتورة ياسمين علاء الدين -نائب رئيس مجلس أمناء مؤسسة شباب المتوسط للتنمية- مع مارتا مالينوسكا -متخصصة مركز دراسات المرأة- بولندا، إلى مقر الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك؛ للمشاركة في مؤتمر اللجنة المعنية بوضع المرأة (CSW) في دورته الثامنة والستين (CSW 68) لعام 2024، وذلك في الفترة من 11 حتى 22 من مارس2024

سيشارك في المؤتمر عدد من ممثلي الدول الأعضاء، وكيانات الأمم المتحدة، إلى جوار بعض المنظمات الغير حكومية، ومنظمات المجتمع المدني المعتمدة من المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي (ECOSOC) من جميع أنحاء العالم للمشاركة في هذا الحدث رفيع المستوى.

سيناقش المؤتمر ضرورة تسريع تحقيق المساواة بين الجنسين وتمكين جميع النساء والفتيات، من خلال تعزيز المؤسسات ببحث سبل التمويل ومعالجة الفقر بمنظور المساواة بين الجنسين
