Dr. Yasmeen Aladdin, the co-president of the Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development and the foundation’s representative at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in Vienna

Dr. Yasmeen Aladdin, the co-president of the Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development and the foundation’s representative at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in Vienna, is participating in the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, which will be held in the capital, Vienna, Austria, from October 14 to 18, 2024. The conference gains significant importance with the participation of 189 member states. It brings together representatives from governments and civil society to enhance international cooperation, exchange experiences, and develop unified strategies against organized crime. Policies will also be reviewed, technical and legal support will be provided, and mechanisms for monitoring implementation and compliance will be established. Our participation will highlight the role of civil society in combating organized crime and contributing to sustainable development within the foundation’s commitment to enhancing international cooperation and the role of youth in building a safe and sustainable future. تشارك الدكتورة ياسمين علاء الدين، -الرئيس المشارك لمؤسسة شباب المتوسط، وممثلة المؤسسة في المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للأمم المتحدة(ECOSOC) بڤيينا- في مؤتمر الأطراف لاتفاقية للأمم المتحدة لمكافحة

الجريمة المنظمة عبر الوطنية، والذي سُيعقد في العاصمة فيينا، بدولة النمسا، خلال الفترة من 14 إلى 18 أكتوبر 2024 .

يكتسب المؤتمر أهمية كبيرة بحضور 189 دولة عضو، حيث يجمع ممثلين/ات عن الحكومات والمجتمع المدني لتعزيز التعاون الدولي، تبادل الخبرات، وتطوير استراتيجيات موحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظمة. سيتم أيضًا مراجعة السياسات، وتقديم الدعم الفني والقانوني، وإنشاء آليات لمراقبة التنفيذ والامتثال.

ستسلط مشاركتنا على دور المجتمع المدني في مواجهة الجريمة المنظمة والمساهمة في التنمية المستدامة، ضمن التزام المؤسسة بتعزيز التعاون الدولي ودور الشباب في بناء مستقبل آمن ومستدام.
