For the first time in West Africa, Youssef Aroog is heading to the Republic of Cape Verde to participate in the “2nd International Gathering of the Rule of Law Youth Network (RoLYN) as part of the 9th African University on Youth and Development (AUYD)”.

The second gathering of the network is organized by the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe within the framework of the PEACE YP project: Promoting Euro-African Cooperation to Enhance Youth Participation for Peace. This project benefits from financial support provided by Malta, Portugal, and Spain, with the support of the European Union-Council of Europe joint program “South Programme V: Protecting Human Rights, Rule of Law, and Democracy through Shared Standards in the Southern Mediterranean”.

He is scheduled to meet with senior officials from the Council of Europe (CoE), the African Union Commission on Human Rights, the European Union delegation to the Republic of Cape Verde, the Deputy Prime Minister of Cape Verde, as well as leaders of youth organizations working on issues related to youth participation and environmental protection.
