“Freedom for Palestine is not only a Palestinian or Arab demand, but a humanitarian issue that concerns all peoples who love justice.” On November 29th each year, the world is reminded of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, a day established by the United Nations to recall the historical injustice suffered by Palestinians, which still persists to this day. This day symbolizes the necessity for the international community to commit to supporting the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, such as the right to self-determination, the right of refugees to return to their homes, the cessation of all forms of aggression, and the complete end of occupation. In this context, we recall the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people, the genocide targeting its children and women, the destruction of their lands, and reaffirm the necessity for continued international efforts to end this aggression and achieve a just peace that guarantees the freedom, independence, and reconstruction of their homeland, which has suffered greatly. “الحرية لفلسطين ليست فقط مطلبًا فلسطينيًا أو عربيًا، بل هي قضية إنسانية تعني كل الشعوب المحبة للعدالة.
في التاسع والعشرين من نوفمبر من كل عام، يُذكر العالم باليوم العالمي للتضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني، وهي مناسبة أقرّتها الأمم المتحدة للتذكير بالظلم التاريخي الذي تعرض له الفلسطينيون/ات، والذي لا يزال قائمًا حتى يومنا هذا.
هذا اليوم يرمز إلى ضرورة التزام المجتمع الدولي بدعم حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني غير القابلة للتصرف، مثل حق تقرير المصير، وحق اللاجئين/ات في العودة إلى ديارهم/ن، ووقف جميع أشكال الاعتداءات، وإنهاء الاحتلال بشكل كامل.
وفي هذا السياق، نستحضر معاناة الشعب الفلسطيني المستمرة، والإبادة التي تطال أطفاله ونسائه، والدمار الذي لحق بأراضيه، ونؤكد على ضرورة استمرار الجهود الدولية لإنهاء هذا العدوان وتحقيق سلام عادل يضمن للفلسطينيين/ات حريتهم/ن واستقلالهم/ن، وإعادة إعمار وطنهم/ن الذي عانى كثيرًا.
