The Mediterranean Youth Foundation and its partners have received official endorsement by YOUNGO – the official Children and Youth Constituency of the UNFCCC – to organize the Egyptian edition of the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) in preparation for COP30 in Brazil.
LCOY Egypt 2025 aims to empower local communities to adapt to the impacts of climate change, enhance environmental awareness and education, and accelerate the shift toward sustainable infrastructure, while developing a participatory policy paper to be submitted to the United Nations.
The conference also emphasizes the inclusion of refugees and migrants, and covers topics such as agriculture, water, renewable energy, air quality, biodiversity, and coastal protection across different regions of Egypt.

LCOY Egypt 2025 في 11 محافظة استعدادًا لـCOP30 بالبرازيل

حصلت مؤسسة شباب المتوسط وشركاؤها، على اعتماد من قبل YOUNGO – الدائرة الانتخابية الرسمية للأطفال والشباب في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة بشأن تغير المناخ؛ لتنظيم النسخة المصرية مؤتمر LCOY في طريقنا نحو COP30 في البرازيل.
يهدف مؤتمر LCOY مصر 2025 إلى تمكين المجتمعات المحلية من التكيف مع آثار التغير المناخي، وتعزيز الوعي والتعليم البيئي، وتسريع التحول نحو بنية تحتية مستدامة، مع إعداد ورقة سياسات تشاركية تُرفع للأمم المتحدة
كما يركز على إشراك اللاجئين/ات والمهاجرين/ات، ويغطي موضوعات مثل الزراعة والمياه والطاقة المتجددة وجودة الهواء والتنوع البيولوجي وحماية السواحل في مختلف مناطق مصر.
