MYF Delegation to COP29

This is your opportunity to engage with world leaders, activists, and decision-makers in the global conversation on climate change. MYF is an accredited organization by the UNFCCC, which will provide selected participants with badges to enter the Blue Zone.

Eligibility Criteria:
– Aged between (18 to 29).
– Experience in climate action, demonstrated through involvement in projects or initiatives.

– Conference Dates: November 11 – November 22, 2024

Commitment Requirements for Selected Participants:
Selected participants will be required to sign a commitment letter that ensures their engagement with MYF and COP29 activities. Below is a summary of the commitments:

1. Participation in COP29:
I commit to attending the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) from November 11 until November 22, 2024, at Baku Stadium, Baku, Azerbaijan*, based on the days and weeks allocated for my participation.

2. MYF Side Event Attendance:  
I commit to attending at least one side event organized by the Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development (MYF) during the COP29 conference (if any).

3. Notification in Case of Absence:  
In the event of an unjustified absence, I commit to informing MYF immediately and providing a valid explanation for my absence at COP29.

4. Responsibility for Associated Costs:  
Should I fail to attend without justification, I accept responsibility for covering associated costs, including but not limited to flight tickets and accommodation (if any). These costs must be verified and justified by proof of payment from the organizers.

5. Video Recording Commitment:  
For promotional purposes, I commit to recording a one-minute video as part of MYF’s delegation at COP29. In the video, I will introduce myself and state:  
“My name is [Insert Name] and I am here at COP29 in Baku as part of MYF’s delegation. I did [mention activities/participation] and participated in [mention event].”  
The full script will be shared by MYF in due time.

Note: Please be informed that we are offering badges only and there is no budget will be available to cover any occurred costs.
