Aroog addressed the crucial role of youth and civil society in addressing environmental challenges, asserting that young people are beginning to bear the consequences of climate change. “We have already been affected by this phenomenon, as we experienced extreme weather conditions last summer in Egypt, and we are bracing for an upcoming harsh winter.” He emphasized the urgent need to take effective measures to reduce carbon emissions and enhance international cooperation to combat climate change. Through an appearance on Al Qahera News Channel, he emphasized that the presence of youth at COP29 aims to shine a light on the significance of the climate change issue and the necessity of confronting it to reduce carbon emissions that contribute to global warming.
