After numerous experiences in local and international events, we realized the need to create a platform that brings together young people from Mediterranean countries. So, we established the “Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development” in 2018 to serve as a bridge for communication and collaboration on various developmental projects, creating a positive impact in our communities through cultural exchange and youth empowerment.

We believe that youth have tremendous energy capable of making a change. Despite the challenges, we strive to turn our difficulties into opportunities, investing in the creative potential of youth to be part of the solution in addressing environmental and social challenges.

Through our initiatives, we have trained and inspired thousands of young people, enhanced intercultural dialogue, and developed solutions for the challenges. We’ve proven that youth are a formidable force when equipped with the right tools.

بعد تجارب كثيرة في فعاليات محلية ودولية، أدركنا الحاجة لخلق منصة تجمع الشباب/ات من دول البحر الأبيض المتوسط؛ فأسسنا “مؤسسة شباب المتوسط للتنمية” في ٢٠١٨، حتى تكون جسراً للتواصل والتعاون في مختلف المشاريع التنموية، لخلق تأثير إيجابي في مجتمعاتنا عبر التبادل الثقافي، وتمكين الشباب/ات.
نحن نؤمن بأن الشباب/ات يمتلكون/ن طاقة هائلة قادرة على إحداث التغيير. ورغم التحديات، نسعى لتحويل صعوباتنا إلى فرص، ونستثمر في الإمكانيات الإبداعية للشباب/ات لنكون جزءًا من الحل في مواجهة التحديات البيئية والاجتماعية.
ومن خلال مبادراتنا، دربنا وألهمنا آلاف الشباب/ات، عززنا الحوار بين الثقافات، وطورنا حلولاً للتحديات، أثبتنا أن الشباب/ات قوة جبارة عندما تتوفر لهم/ن الأدوات المناسبة.

هدفنا هو خلق مستقبل للشباب/ات يكونون/ن فيه قادة اليوم، سنواصل السعي لتعزيز مشاركة الشباب/ات في صناعة القرار وتقديم الفرص التي تساهم في تحقيق مجتمع أفضل للجميع.

2019: In 2019, we received the Quality Label from the European Union as recognition of our efforts in supporting volunteer work and promoting international cooperation.

في 2019، حصلنا على علامة الجودة من الاتحاد الأوروبي كاعتراف بجهودنا في دعم العمل التطوعي وتعزيز التعاون الدولي.

2020: The year 2020 was notable as we received the King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment to achieve Sustainable Development Goals, acknowledging our commitment to empowering youth and developing their capacities.

كان عام 2020 مميزاً بحصولنا على جائزة الملك حمد لدعم الشباب في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة، وهو تقدير لالتزامنا بتمكين الشباب وتطوير قدراتهم.

2021: In 2021, we received the Intercultural Innovation Award and Intercultural Dialogue, which highlights our role in promoting cultural communication and developing innovative solutions to challenges.

في 2021، فزنا بجائزة الأمم المتحدة للابتكار والحوار بين الثقافات، وهي إشارة إلى دورنا في تعزيز التواصل الثقافي وتطوير الحلول المبتكرة للتحديات.

2022: In 2022, we obtained permanent observer membership in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), giving us a greater opportunity to contribute to environmental
and climate issues.

عام 2022، حصلنا على عضوية مراقب دائم في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لتغير المناخ، مما يتيح لنا فرصة أكبر للمساهمة في قضايا البيئة والمناخ.

2023: In 2023, we were granted Public Benefit Status by the Egyptian government, along with the Consultative Status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council, enhancing our role on both the local and international levels.

في 2023، حصلنا علي صفة النفع العام من الحكومة المصرية، إضافة إلى عضوية استشارية في المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للأمم المتحدة، مما يعزز دورنا على المستوى المحلي والدولي.

Our Message to Youth : Our goal is to create a future where youth  are the leaders of today. We will continue to strive to promote youth participation in decision-making and provide opportunities that contribute to creating a better society for all. This was just #The_Start_of_Our_Story, but we are still moving forward, and our journey continues with your support and presence. Together, we can face the upcoming challenges and build a better future for everyone.
