This program is a leading initiative formed by MYF to open the opportunity for youth to acquire direct exposure to the work on regional and international projects dealing with high level organizations and stakeholders in the Euro-Mediterranean region. Type of contract: Internship
Work type: Full Time – Hybrid
Approximate time for application: 15 minutes.
Internship Duration: 6 months.
Working hours: 35 hours/ week

2. The objectives of this call

This internship is a valuable opportunity for young people to gain practical
experience and apply their academic knowledge and skills in a real-world setting.


The main objectives of this call are:

1. Developing the skills and capabilities of young people by providing practical
experience and opportunities to enhance expertise in their field of study or
professional passion.

2. Strengthening the achievement of fair opportunity and gender justice.

3. This Call for Applications aims to select a maximum of 3 interns for each position.

4. Building a professional network by communicating with colleagues, supervisors
and professionals from all over the Euro-Mediterranean region.

5. Contributing to real projects and tasks that are applied in the MYF projects
throughout the Euro-Mediterranean region.

6. Gaining professional development and practical experience while participating
in the implementation of projects by the Mediterranean Youth Foundation.

7. Providing professional guidance and mentorship through continuous evaluation,
helping to improve your work consistently.

  1. Applicants’ age: 22: 29 
  2. Residency: Open only to residents in Egypt (Egyptians and non-Egyptians) who are living in one of the following governorates (Cairo – Giza – Qalyubia – DaqahliyahSharqia – Menoufia – Ismailia). 
  3. Educational Background: Interns should be recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Business, International Relations, Languages, Mass Communication, or a related field. This opportunity is open to students expected to graduate in January 2026, and recent graduates who have completed their degrees within the past two years (2025 or 2024). It is not available to students in the earlier stages of their studies (such as first, second, or third year). 
  4. Skills and Competencies: We are seeking interns with skills in content creation, copywriting, project coordination, and other relevant areas. Proficiency in Arabic proofreading is a plus. 
  5. Commitment: Interns should demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of MYF, as well as a willingness to actively contribute to projects. Interns are obligated to come to the office for days per week with the possibility of continuing on a virtual base. 
  6. Availability: Ensure that interns can commit to the required time and are available for training sessions and project involvement for at least 35 hours per week. 
  7. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English and Arabic is preferred; any other Euro-Med Language is a PLUS. 
    (Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply including young mothers).

4. Intern Benefits

● Daily subsistence allowance (DSA) to be applied starting from the second
month. (between 4500 LE – 7000 LE gross per month)

1. Application Form: to be completed with personal and professional information about the applicant in addition to the motivation to join MYA and any further relevant information.
2. Mandatory attachment:
a. Copy of the National ID card if you are Egyptian, or passport and the residency permit if you live in Egypt.

Interested candidates must submit the applications and their attachments before the deadline.
To ensure equal treatment of applicants, MYF cannot give a prior opinion on the eligibility of applicants and the action. No individual replies will be given to questions. All questions and answers, as well as other important notices to applicants during the evaluation procedure will be communicated to applicants only if they are shortlisted.
The submitted applications will be screened by an Evaluation Committee composed of MYF board members, MYF Advisors and External experts.
Specific selection criteria have been established to develop a clear, non-discriminatory, non-prejudicial, and fair-competition evaluation process. The selection procedure will be based on an evaluation of the following criteria:
· Relevance
· Consistency
· Motivation and interest
· Previous knowledge related to the position of interest.

 

Selection Process

1. Application Review:
All submitted applications will undergo a thorough review to assess alignment with MYF’s mission and the specified volunteer positions.
2. Initial Screening:
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an initial screening to gauge their motivation, availability, and initial fit for the roles.
3. Interviews:
Successful candidates from the initial screening will participate in one or more interviews. These interviews may be conducted by MYF staff or relevant team members.
4. Skills Assessment:
Depending on the nature of the volunteer roles, selected candidates may be required to complete a skills assessment or task to evaluate their proficiency in key areas.
5. Reference Checks:
MYF may conduct reference checks to verify the candidate’s previous experiences and qualifications
6. Final Selection:
After completing the interview and assessment phases, the final selection of Interns will be made based on a combination of skills, motivation, and alignment with MYF’s values.

Training

– Orientation Session:
Newly accepted Interns will participate in an orientation session covering MYF’s mission, organizational structure, and an overview of ongoing projects.
– Role-Specific Training:
Interns will undergo specialized training tailored to their specific roles. This may include content creation workshops, project coordination training, and guidance on effective communication within the organization.
– Tool Familiarization:
Interns will be introduced to any tools or platforms used by MYF, ensuring they are comfortable and proficient in utilizing them for effective collaboration.
– Mentorship:
Each volunteer will be assigned a mentor to provide ongoing support, guidance, and feedback throughout their journey with MYF.

No Fees

No Fees
MYF does not charge a fee at any stage of the recruitment process (application, interview meeting, processing, training, or any other fees). MYF does not concern itself with information on bank accounts.

TERMS OF THE CONTRACT

As we, in MYF, work together against the discriminatory practices against young
people, such as low minimum wages for youth and unpaid internships.

To catch on the same page with the EU; the European Economic and Social
Committee.

MYF offers a 6-month contract with a compensation between 4500 LE – 7000 LE
gross per month defined based on performance and geographical dimension of
interns.
